Emma is a great instructor, describing the effects and benefits of all the movements and explains how different muscle groups respond. She demonstrates each exercise with varying degrees of difficulty and it is up to the individual to work at the level that best suits them. Overall my fitness and posture has greatly improved and the after effects of several old injuries are either non existent or barely noticeable now. I have been attending Emma's classes for a few months now and I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Thank you Emma!

As soon as I started my treatment regime with Emma, I felt much more confident about making a full recovery. I was instantly reassured by her breadth of knowledge and professionalism. Emma has sensitively managed my expectations throughout and stopped me from rushing my recovery to make sure I don’t ruin all the hard work I’ve put in so far. I am currently pain-free which has happened much faster than I imagined it would. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I have been going to Emma’s Pilates classes for a few months now. The classes are very good, effective, structured, even fun! Emma is a very professional teacher; she explains all the moves very clearly, gently corrects any imperfections and offers a range of movements that suit any level of experience. My posture and balance seem to have improved, I feel more toned, stronger, and even some niggly, middle-aged pains in my joints have been eased thanks to the classes. I would highly recommend Emma’s classes!

Emma is an excellent pilates instructor and a first-rate communicator. The weekly classes are well-prepared, varied and involving. The exercises are challenging but not over-strenuous, and after only a few classes the beneficial effects on the body are a wonder to experience. Very highly recommended.

Highly recommend Emma’s classes. They’re well explained, she always gives different level options, checks 1:1 for exercises and they’re varied every week. Our class has all levels and ages which feels really inclusive and I’m certainly feeling the core strength benefits.

I’ve been attending Emma’s Pilates classes for a few months and they are the best I’ve been to in years. Emma is very professional and always well prepared for the classes. She explains and/or demonstrates the positions and moves really well. In my experience, it makes a huge difference when Pilates classes are taught by qualified and experienced physiotherapists, and Emma’s classes are no exception. I’ve also seen Emma for some physiotherapy relating to an old shoulder injury that can still bother me, particularly when mountain biking. Following the treatment and rehab program that Emma prescribed my shoulder is the best it’s been in years. Emma is by far the best physio I have seen in the Borders and Edinburgh area, and being a mountain biker herself, she understands the peculiar body position and movements involved when mountain biking. My wife has also seen Emma about a running injury, and she is also seeing good results from her treatment and rehab plan.
